Nathan Haines is a new breed of jazz musician.

His early years were spent attending gigs and rehearsals with his jazz bass playing father Kevin, so it wasn't long before Nathan and his guitarist brother Joel were spending weekends gigging all over New Zealand. After receiving an award helping young New Zealanders to further their careers in the arts, Nathan moved to New York in 1991 at the age of 19 to further his study of jazz music...

World renowned kiwi jazz musician, Nathan Haines joins together with friends to create this perfect accompaniment to your next cocktail.

Music For Cocktail Lovers features interpretations of tracks from Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone, Zero 7, Saint Germain, Joni Mitchell, Pharrell Williams and more, as well as Thorne Bay Bossa, a new Nathan Haines original.

It's the first Nathan Haines album where he has taken the role of producer as well as performer. Packaged in a longbox digipack with a slipcase and sensational artwork, it was recorded and mixed at Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios and mastered in Los Angeles.

Joining Nathan for this release are pianist Kevin Field, bassist Oliver Holland and brother Joel Haines.
